The Art Department of Mason Middle School is proud to announce that seventh graders Becca Kling, Brooke Paciolla, Megan Staehling and Avery Tobergte have been selected to have their artwork represent the southwest region of Ohio in state art exhibitions.
Congratulations go to Becca Kling and Avery Tobergte for having their artwork selected to be in the 2017 Youth Art Month Art Exhibition.  This exhibition includes 111 exemplary works of art by Ohio students from kindergarten through eighth grade.  Their work will represent the southwest region of Ohio during the month of March at our state’s capitol.  A reception will be held at the STRS Building on March 11th at 12:30 pm in honor of the young artists.
Brooke Paciolla and Megan Staehling had their artwork accepted into the 37th Ohio Art Education Association (OAEA) Young People’s Art Exhibition.  This is an art exhibition by Ohio students encompassing grades kindergarten through eighth.  A reception will be held on March 11th at 11:00 am in the Rhodes State Office Tower Building in Columbus, Ohio.  The Mason Middle School students’ artworks were among only 107 works selected from the nine OAEA regions in Ohio.  The exhibitions are sponsored by the OAEA which is the professional organization for art teachers in Ohio.  Among its many professional endeavors, the OAEA works to promote art education and recognizes quality student art through various exhibits sponsored during the year.
Kim Roman and Rita Shriver-Schehr are the Mason Middle School visual art educators who submitted the student work for these two state exhibits.
