Mason Middle School seventh grader Rishi Manoharan participated in the State History Day Competition with his research paper Bhagavatpada Sri Adi Shankaracharya: Reviving Hinduism and Advaita Vedanta. The State History Day competition was held at Ohio Wesleyan University on April 29 and was related to the 2017 National theme "Taking a Stand in History."
Manoharan qualified for the state competition at the District 8 History Day competition which was held earlier this spring at the University of Cincinnati.
"Rishi received wonderful praise and feedback on his paper during the State History Day Competition. We are so proud of all of Mason Middle School's historians and their passion for telling the stories of people who took a stand!" shared Mason Middle School seventh grade Social Studies teacher Erin White.
